Self Treat Tennis Elbow

Tennis Elbow and Golfers Elbow are common causes of pain and discomfort in the eblow region. Correctly named for Lateral (Tennis) or Medial (Golfers) Epicondylitis, they can be infuriating and difficult to treat conditions. Anyone can suffer from Tennis Elbow or Golfers Elbow, you don't need to be a Golfer or Tennis player. They are classified as Overuse or Repetitive Strain Injuries. Essentially, asking the specific muscles to do more work than they're comfortable doing or working them for longer than they are happy with. The problem with Tennis Elbow and Golfers Elbow is it often persist for months, sometimes years before going away.

Below is a great video from Austin Spine and Sport detailing a very simple technique that in my opinion is extremely beneficial for these conditions. I've used it myself and it's really helped me. It does require a small piece of equipment that is easily purchased form Amazon for between £15 and £20. A small price for relief from the discomfort.

You can purchase a Thera-Band FlexBar from Amazon for between £15 and £20 here.

The FlexBar comes in 3 colours which signify different levels of difficulty. The green bar is good for most people, the red is the easiest and the blue is hardest.
